Spring is here and this is a cooking group, but what is a good potato to
plant ? i planted pontiacs last year ( red ) and want try a different
varitiy . now red is for mashing and white is for baking .... right ? and i
live in central canada..... thx

last year, I planted the sprouted russets from my fridge in
August. Around December (just before the ground froze), I
pulled up 3 1" potatoes.
